Racing with the biggest sailing ships in the world

Toughen up, get more stamina,  on the Wylde Swan.

From 5 to 13 July, the Wylde Swan will participate in the tall ships race along with the largest sailing ships in the world. On this leg of the tall ships race, from Aalborg (Denemarken) to Frederikstad (Norway), we want to be the fastest ship!

During the trip you learn how to sail on a large sailing ship. You will also  learn to work together, to persevere, to improve on your limits, to push your boundaries. You will certainly return home a tougher person. Primarily young people aged between 15 and 20 to 25 years enroll for this sailing experience. Captain and crew are aboard of course, but there is also a mentor on board to ensure that everyone feels at home and has a good time. The official language on board is English.

On board you are part of the crew. During the daywatch and during your nightwatch you will help to make sure that the Wylde Swan makes more miles than the other tallships. The Wylde Swan is a fast sailor and finishing first is a distinct possibility.

There are plenty of things  to do in the ports, while the day guests of the companies are sailing on your ship. You can fraternize with the trainees of the other ships.  There are sports tournaments and you can go to the swimmingpool. Prior to the award ceremony, there is of course the traditional crew parade where you will represent the Wylde Swan.

The price of a full board stay on board is only 880 euros if you are younger than 25 years. Those who are older pay a little more: 960 euros.

For 150 euros you fly from Amsterdam to Aalborg (or 50 euros by Flixbus). And for 110 euros by airplane from Oslo to Amsterdam.
