Working with the harbourmaster of Ullapool, the Wylde Swan crew have a number of wonderful sailing trips planned in Scotland for this year.

The first trip is a 7-day voyage, starting on Friday 23 August in Scrabster, the most northern port on the Scottish mainland. From Scrabster harbour, we’ll sail north to explore the beautiful Orkney Islands. Depending on wind and weather, we’ll sail to Fair Isle and then, for instance via Stromness to North Rona before arriving after a week on the sea in Ullapool harbour on Thursday 29 August.

Once again, Scheveningen will be the finishing post for a large international maritime event. Last year Scheveningen was the final harbour for the Volvo Ocean Race and this year dozens of large tall ships will be coming to the seaside resort from Thursday 20 June to Sunday 23 June as it becomes the finishing line for the Liberty Tall Ships Regatta. Starting in Rouen, the Liberty Regatta will be preceded by the Armada Rouen which will commemorate the 75^th anniversary of D-Day.

The Hague is the international capital of peace and justice and has an attractive nautical meeting point with Scheveningen port. International law bridges oceans and unites countries across the continents in their quest for peace.

Many of the ships sail around the world and can only be seen at major international maritime events such as Sail Amsterdam and Sail at Scheveningen.

Samen met de havenmeester van Ullapool, heeft de crew van de Wylde Swan ook dit jaar weer een aantal mooie Schotse reizen ontwikkeld.

De eerste reis is een 7 daagse reis, welke op vrijdag 23 augustus start in Scrabster, de meest noordelijke haven van het Schotse vasteland. Vanuit de haven van Scrabster zeilen we naar het noorden om daar de prachtige eilanden van de Orkney’s te ontdekken. Weer- en wind afhankelijk zeilen we naar Fair Isle en via bijvoorbeeld Stromness naar North Rona om uiteindelijk na een week, op donderdag 29 augustus in de haven van Ullapool aan te komen.
